Evaluation System Requirements:
The minimum you need to operate
EDI-PAC is:
ACCPAC Plus Windowing System Manager Version 6.1 or
higher
A DOS based 286 micro-computer with at least 640K of
memory
Creating an Installation Disk:
Your evaluation copy of EDI-PAC
contains sample import and export files already set up
for you. This allows you to review all the functions in
the system.
- Before you can install the
evaluation copy you must unzip the self-extracting EXE
to a floppy diskette so that it can be recognized in
the normal installation manner of the ACCPAC Windowing
System Manager.
- For simplicity make a temporary
directory so that the file is easy to find. ie. CD\EDIPAC
- From DOS move to the subdirectory
(CD\EDIPAC) and type the following; edieval -d a:
(Special Note: Make sure you are in the subdirectory
you created in option #2, and that you have a blank
floppy diskette in your floppy drive a:.)
It will be extracting all the files and creating an
ACCPAC installable diskette.
- Once this is completed, take the
new diskette, and label it EDI-PAC Eval. Then you can
proceed to the ACCPAC W.S.M. "F3" install
command.
Installing Your Evaluation Copy:
Once your Windowing System Manager
is installed, install LandWare as follows:
1. Run your ACCPAC system by typing PLUS at your C:
prompt.
2. When the Start List appears press F3 to call up the
System Manager.
3. Cursor down to INSTALL PROGRAMS.
4. Insert the EDI-PAC evaluation disk you have created
into drive A: and press RETURN to begin the
installation.
5. Once the installation is complete press ESCAPE
until you have returned to the Windowing System
Manager Start List. Your start list should now have
EDI-PAC Sample Data as an option.
Starting EDI-PAC:
Highlight "EDI-PAC Sample Data" on your start list and
press return.
The title screen is the first screen you see. It will
prompt you for:
a. The date of your work session (defaults to today)
Select "Accept" to continue.
After a moment the EDI-PAC Master
Menu appears.
