How does it work?


  • This program is an add-on to ACCPAC Plus Order Entry version 6.1b system.
  • There are three programs installed to the Order Entry menu. They are;
    • 1. An updated Print Pick Slips program
    • 2. A new Edit Shipping Link Profile
    • 3. A new Import Completed Orders

     

  • The sales orders are first created in ACCPAC Order Entry system in the regular way. In a typical scenario, the operator would then print a picking slip for the warehouse to ship the product.
  • The printing of the picking slip will also create an interface file for the external shipping system. This file of new orders gets imported into the external shipping system on a regular basis for order fulfilment. The warehouse person would have the pick slip printed from ACCPAC and now they would access the order through the external shipping system for manifest creation.
  • Once the manifest is created and the shipping documents complete, the external shipping system creates an interface file for the ACCPAC Link. This new file contains shipping charges and information that must update the original order in ACCPAC O/E. A function in Order Entry reads this file and updates all of the orders with appropriate shipping information and charges.
  • Everything gets accounted for in the normal way efficiently and with no re-keying.
